I'm Not Living with You! We Occupy the Same Cage, That's All...

"Quarterback" or "Border quack," you decide!

Your Answer: "Dave, I have a better idea; you're not going to like it, though... I can't tell you exactly what it is, but it rhymes with "sit down and shut the heck up, you slack-jawed gollywomper!" I think you can puzzle it out..."

Greetings one and all, and welcome to another edition of "Dave Making Stuff Up As He Goes!" Tonight episode is subtitled: "Everything You Never Wanted To Know About A Bunch of Random Crap." When this episode is over... your lives will feel a little more complete... your souls a little more full... and your feet a little more shtankay! Either I'm dead right, or I'm crazy! Think of it as my little daily contribution to the well-being of mankind. Do I laugh now, or wait 'til it gets funny?

No! I did not watch the All-Star Game! So stop asking me! Sheesh! If I live to be ninety, I will never figure you out!

Dang, I'm off to a lousy start tonight. I'm all frantic and flailing again... I need to calm down... I know! Fish!

In all seriousness, I saw this today, and I sat there amazed. PLEASE, if you didn't watch it full screen, go back, hit the HD button at the bottom, then hit the Full Screen button right next to it. Amazing. Instant "favorite" into my YouTube library of faves. Great song, too. I should in fairness add that my taste in music is reputedly deplorable.

That's the 2nd biggest aquarium in the world, in Okinawa. So beautiful, I almost wet myself. Yeah, yeah, I know... you don't want mellow fishies, you want explosions, fist fights and dismemberments, I get it. Well, I just happen to know what you want better than you do! So enjoy it! It's ok, no one else is around, don't be embarrassed...

Ah, I'm mellow now!

Rug Shop Day today, git'ner done. Gettin' stuff done makes me happy! I was thinking today about "what makes me happy," mostly because I watched this video recently...

And many of the people seemed at a loss as to how to answer the question, "What makes you happy?" I suppose if I had to narrow it down, I'd say my kids make me happy. And doing something really well makes me happy - could be anything, really. Reading good writing makes me happy, too. Needless to say, I'm not too happy with the Scott Lynch book I'm still making myself read... Playing my DS while soaking in a hot bath makes me happy sometimes. Watching a great sporting event on TV makes me happy (golf, baseball, football, basketball, etc.), especially if there are others watching with me. Presents make me happy, too! If you want to give me a present, give me a good life. That's something I can value.

What about you, eh? What makes you happy? One has to ask some very strange things in the job I have. When your head says one thing and your whole life says another, your head always loses.

Todayve In History: July 18
--------------------------------
- July 18, 1925: Adolf Hitler publishes Mein Kampf. ("Mein Kampf" is German for "I'm a psychopath with a lame moustache, elect me chancellor!")

- July 18, 1968: The Intel Corporation is founded. (Hey, they forgot to wind the sundial!)

- July 18, 1969: Senator Ted Kennedy decides to see if his car can swim, but fails to warn his passenger. (Chappaquiddick! Chappaquiddick! What a great word! Chappaquiddick!)

- Celebrating birthdays on July 18 are: Nelson Mandela (1918), John Glenn (1921), Hunter S. Thompson (1937), Richard Branson (1950) and Vin Diesel (1967). Here's what they all look like with Vye's hair...

I scooped up three points for the the missed quote in the July 15th post: "You have a great chance here, but bear in mind, you can lose it all if you're not careful," which is from There Will Be Blood. Mediocre movie, but a jaw-dropping performance by Daniel Day Lewis, definitely Oscar-Winning Caliber. I guess I should add "watching great acting" to my list of things that make me happy... Speed round on yesterday's remaining quote(s) starts now... if there are any left to snag, that is...

I do have a Funny Picture for you... if you're afraid of camels, don't look...

This pic is aptly titled "Nom Nom Nom." If he wants to eat up that tablecloth, you let him, you hear?

Well, I'm off like a light switch. Good luck with the movie quotes tonight. I wish I could hide them better, so it was more of a challenge for you, but hey, it is what it is. Until tomorrow, remember, the corridors are dark, gentlemen, but you mustn't be afraid. I am with you.

LOL @ NOM NOM NOM PIC hahahaha, that's so funny.

That aquarium is gorgeous, I want to swim with one of those whale sharks. I like how they move like a giant of the sea. They're never in a hurry, that's my style.

Okay, fish, totally awesome and peaceful. I love water. I want to swim with them and listen to that music.
That Camels head is huge.
Best of Vye's hair yet.

Hmm. What makes me happy?
Of course I have to say God and Jesus that is a given; they are just so amazing. Baby laughs, horses, nature, long hair, dancing, inspiring/talented music, cool people, Men/women who will stand up and fight for what's right, o and uhhhh reading Dave's blog! haha

Have a beautiful night Dave.

What makes me happy? Little stuff. Small things. Anyway...

Ahh...that aquarium makes me happy. Stunning. Imagine what the ocean would look like if we didn't kill everything in it all the time. Just saying...

The aquarium is beautiful indeed! Thanks for posting it.

Can you imagine all the camel slobber on that guy's head? Yuck.

Lots of stuff make me happy but the best is knowing Who I'm spending forever with - and forever is a long time.
