Thank You For Your Patients...

Good Monday to ye, lads and lassies!

Is all well in the world with ya? I hope so. One wonders how things will play out this week, doesn't one? Well, let's all take it 5 minutes at a time and see, eh?

Today scooted along at a pretty good clip for me. A typical, strange mix of work, play, errands and entertainment. Worked on some web stuff, some Piranha stuff, and generally did what was at hand to do. Watched an odd movie called Revolver, a Guy Ritchie movie, odd script. Kind of a weird Gollum-meets-Oceans 11-meets-Coen Brothers. I'd call it a well-intentioned swing-and-a-miss.

I made another comic for ya today as well. Introduced a new character, Carl the Gloved Cat.

Again, I don't know what to tell you to expect with the comics. Let's roll with it, eh?

On This Dayve In History, March 9th:

- March 9, 1964, the first Ford Mustang is produced.

Never had one, always wanted one. In fact, I've never owned a car worth more than 10 grand. Someday, I suppose I'll do the "middle-age sportscar" thing. Although it's kind of a poor trade-off, really. Expensive to buy, expensive to maintain, worse gas mileage, more expensive to insure, higher drop in value as you drive off the lot, higher risk of speeding tickets... for what? A little more "oomph" off the line at a green light? Make myself feel more "manly"?

It's all a bunch of bollocks, whatever that means...

Suddenly, I'm very tired. I hope you don't mind if I wander away from the computer now, and collapse in a wrinkled heap on the couch.

Until tomorrow, remember, boys will be boys - and so will a lot of middle-aged men!

my very first car was a used 1969 Ford Mustang with hood scoop. I was 18 years old, just graduated from high school. my monthly car payments were $45 (in 1972). i drove it until the day it was totalled by a little old man trying to run away from home came out of his driveway at about 60 mph and turned my car over with me in it! that was the days before seatbelt laws and i got a good hard smack on my head and spent a few hours in the emergency room. i was a newlywed at the time and scared the living daylights out of my new husband.

ahh, memories!

loved that car....
