Sir, In My Heart, I Know I'm Funny...

Greetings and salivations, y'all. Dave here, with my Tuesday recap post... yes, I know the date on the post says the ninth, but that's only because I didn't hit "new post" before midnight... It is quite late, at the moment, so I'm going to make a brief post today, hope you don't mind...

Work At Home day today... between the Rug Care Central site and an emergency Piranha Marketing interview transcript, I have plenty to keep me occupied. That reminds me, I got a paycheck in the mail today from one of my clients, w00t. I'm rich! Now I can buy all my blog followers lavish gifts and fly you all en masse to exotic locales for month-long adventures!

Or not. Sorry.

In Scrabble news, I dropped a 131 point play against a certain opponent today (name withheld to protect the innocent), and my war cry could be heard up to 8 blocks away. I played OUTSIDER and hit 2 Triple Word Score spots, one with the O, the other with the R. It was beautiful; I wept. Then I went and got a pumpkin spice frap from Starbucks with wifey. I am the picture of contentment. Success... it's got enemies...

That's not my record, though... those with good memories might recall my mentioning my 198 point play a few years back, on a snowboarding trip to Reno. John and Joseph were both there when it happened. I played BLOOMIER across the top of the board, likewise hitting 2 TW spots, and the M was on the Double Letter Score spot as well. I achieved Wordvana; it was beautiful. I think the 131-pointer today is officially my second highest play...

Funny Picture Time!

"Hey, where do these stairs go?"

"They go up."

Uh oh... can you feel it? I think I feel it! The rare and valuable Funny Picture Hat Trick! Savor it! It doesn't happen too often! Here are 2 more Funny Pics!

Hope his eyes and mouth were closed... can't do much about the nose, though... Sometimes, I guess there just aren't enough rocks.

And finally... yes... a lolcat pic...

It's strange that we've never read of this in the newspapers...

You know things are getting desperate when a blogger resorts to a lolcat pic... still, if this was the only Funny Pic, there might be cause to worry... but it's the third pic in the Funny Pic Hat Trick... so it's all good...

I can redeem myself by posting this Funny Video, of a wedding where the nervous groom says "waffley" instead of "lawfully" during the vows, and the bride starts laughing and can't stop...

Man, I wish I had something of substance to say today... keeping it light, I suppose. Nothing wrong with that, eh? I'll just write it off to the fact that I'm tired, it's late, and I still have some work to do. Diggin' in for a long night. Do you pity me? No? Good, you shouldn't, because life is good...

Well, I guess I'll pull the plug then, regroup, and hit you again tomorrow, hopefully with something a little more rewarding to read... Until tomorrow, remember, I watched a snail crawl along the edge of a straight razor.

What can I say, Dave? Beautiful Scrabble play there. And very cool stairs pic. I wouldn't want to drag myself up them though. As for the guy and the sand..umm..I'm completely clueless as to what's going on in the pic. Sorry! Loved the wedding clip though. Makes one grateful for the invention of the video recorder, no?

Glad life is good for you today...just wish I could have had one of those pumpkin spice fraps too!

198 points is sometimes more than my entire game score, especially when it's a 4 player game. That's amazing, Dave. Congrats.

What is that, weird looking sand mushrooms?

If you can't swing the "exotic locales for month long adventures" thing, I'd settle for the lavish gift. ;)

I can't tell if you guys are kidding around about the sand pic or not. Just in case you're serious, it's a track and field pic, of a long jumper landing in the sand pit a little awkwardly and blasting himself in the face with sand...

I wasn't kidding, I didn't know they set up sand mushrooms for them to jump over. And why would you call it a "pit" when it's protruding from the ground? :)
