Why, Yes, Actually, I Am a Fan of Sea Slugs... Thanks For Asking!

OK, here's the problem... I'm supposed to be working right now, and I'm not. So, the question is, how shall I rectify this problem? Should I actually do the work I need to right now, or should I make a new blog post?

Blog post for the win!

You see, this is just the sort of moral dilemma that keeps me awake at night, sweating, shaking, staring at the ceiling... I need to finish gathering text for the February edition of the Piranha newsletter, then retype/rewrite it all, have it proof-read, format it all, then send them to Piranha by January first. Anyone want to help me out? If any of you are good at typing, or proofreading, or building time machines, let me know.... email me and I'll respond by last week....

What can I say? I get moody, and it encourages procrastination. I guess I'll have to just be on it Monday and focus! I know I can do it! With the combined mass of your encouragement, I shall prevail! Like with the camp slideshow - which is finished, by the way! It only took me 6 months to complete! 17.11 minutes long... that's about 3 minutes per month....

Look, all I know is that it's a good thing I kept some of the spent .45 casings from when I went shooting last week... now if I can just remember where I put them...

I can't see a thing without my glasses on...

Yes, I know, it's a disturbing picture, that's why I posted it small. It takes a man with extreme self-confidence to post a picture like that on his blog. Good thing I'm not looking for a date or something. Sorry, ladies, this man is taken! WOOHOO!

I feel taken all right...

OK, scroll down, don't look at it any more... it will haunt you.

My new years resolutions are off to a sputtering start... I'm doing perfect on the "no soda and no energy drinks" part so far. The rest, not so good. I want to write every day, do some sort of exercise, and improve my diet. And honestly, I've done very little reading in the past month. I started Gold of Kings, and left it hanging... maybe my latest "reading phase" is over! I hope not. I like me a good book...

Bought 4 games from Steam today. Grand total: $4.50... I'd say I'm pretty much guaranteed to get my $'s worth... they're all 4 Indie games, which is why they're so cheap... yeah, I'm frugal like that... 4 games for the price of a frap from Starbucks? Oh, yeah! I celebrated my good fortune by buying a frap from Starbucks...

Yes, I'm rambling. Because I don't want to work. Well, can you blame me? I'm tired, it's almost 1 am, and it's been a long day!

Well, better regroup and try again in the morning. Monday will consist of work and errands, not necessarily in that order. Don't you envy me?

Dang, putting those casings in my nose gave me a headache. The things I do to entertain you!

Adios.

You're such a nut! :)

Do you ever set deadlines for yourself? That seems to work for me (usually) - it turns getting something done into a game of "beat the clock," which is always fun (or not). Happy to see you're still blogging!

When deadlines are hard, and the consequences clear, then that helps, Paula. Otherwise, if I try to set arbitrary deadlines, they hold no strength.
