Don't Think You Are a Good Man. The Thought Will Spoil You.

"Head appointee" or "a pointy head," which one?

Greetings, everyone! Everyone but the fish, that is... if there are any fish reading this post, I must ask you to stop immediately, and return to the water, where you belong. I mean, honestly... you're a fish, for crying out loud! Go swim around or something... Sheesh! If there's anything I can't stand, it's a lot of noisy silence. Now, come on, let's have some talkin' here!

Here, check out the interior of this Stefanel store in Frankfurt...

I get a kick out of looking at clean, futuristic designs like that. I doubt I'd ever shop in a store like that, but it's fun to look at in any case... Here's the article for more info and pics, from dezeen.

I don't know... pretty good day today. Got a project done for a friend, sent some notes away on the community blog idea, got some good feedback so far. Still uncertain whether it will proceed, but it certainly seems doable. Got some webwork done today, as well as broke a handful of Havah's records on ConFuse Box on Facebook! ROOOAR! I'll finish up the Calvin and Hobbes bio tonight. It has just enough pluses to make it worth reading, but only barely. I'll kick in more info on it tomorrow, then maybe I'll have my first book giveaway, with it as the prize...

Here's a funny T-shirt...

Woof woof! I know, I know... it's that sort of "funny" that is laced with guilt, I get it. Still, I can't help but laugh when I see it, so by gum, I'm sharing it here with you! And if you lose the last shreds of respect you have left for me because of it, then by gum, that's a price I'll just have to pay, by gum! By gum!

That reminds me... I need to buy gum...

There's a staggering amount of stuff to read and look at over at National Geographic's website... one cool part of it is a blog by one Andrew Carroll called Here Is Where. He is currently traveling around the US, going to places where little-known historic events took place... the site of the worst hotel fire in US History (Atlanta)... the spot where von Zeppelin first got the idea for airship named for him (in St. Paul)... the place Washington landed after crossing the Delaware River... stuff like that. Not Ground Zero or the Grassy Knoll, but interesting stuff nonetheless. He's putting out a book on it, and though it isn't mentioned, I can't imagine they wouldn't make a TV series out of it, too. Anyway, it might be worth a peek, if you've some time to kill and you dig history...

A cat's a better mother than you!

Rotten Tomatoes has a killer article up, called Rotten Tomato's Favorite Gunfights, complete with video clips of the gunfights, as well as their reasons why they chose these particular scenes. All the classics are there... The Matrix, Heat, Tombstone, The Good the Bad and the Ugly, Scarface...Definitely worth checking out... of course, they are clear that this is their own opinion... I mean, who can, with authority, create the Ultimate List? It's like a Favorite Band list or something... everyone's would be different.  And I ain't getting shot for some cause I don't believe in! In any case, go read it already! Unless you're a fish... now, are you gonna pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?

Todayve in History: October 13
--------------------------------------
- October 13, 1775: The US Navy is born! (Now come off it Colonel, even you were born!)

- October 13, 1792: The cornerstone of the White House is laid in DC. (Let no man forget today, that you are from Old Virginia!)

- October 13, 1843: B'nai B'rith is born! (I guess I should say it was B'orn...)

- October 13, 1963: Beatlemania is born! (The term, that is...)

Among those celebrating birthdays today are: Lenny Bruce (1925), Margaret Thatcher (1925), Paul Simon (1941), Sammy Hagar (1947), Jerry Rice (1962), Paul Potts (1970) and Sacha Baron Cohen (1971). No, I will not post a clip from Borat; I've never seen it but I've read enough about it to know that I'd rather not, thank you very much! But I will post a clip of Ray Charles singing Still Crazy After All These Years...

I downloaded a demo for a new RPG called Risen the other day. It's solid. Has a great feel to it. I'm gonna spend more time with the demo before I officially recommend it, but it's definitely promising. Who knows, I could end up buying a copy of it at some point, to age on my shelf! Check it out and grab the demo, if such things intrigue you (Bob!). Hack n slash; you gotta love it! Let me fight with the rifle in one hand and the Good Book in the other...

I think I'm going to pull the plug on tonight's banquet of random nonsense. Until tomorrow, let us cross over the river and rest under the shade of the tree...

Ha! I was just trawling through Deep Silver's site before I checked in here. I'm not into the hack and slash, but I love the adventure/mystery games.

I don't think I could ever shop in a store like that. It's so...sterile. I'd be looking for lint and dust bunnies everywhere.

Beat my records, huh? I guess I need to get back in there and spend more hourage trying to regain my honour. Although, honestly, I don't know if I cando better than my now wrecked scores. We'll see. I'm glad I can supply you with goals to reach. ;)

"Here is Where" sounds interesting. I love traveling, and it's always fun to find all the odd places cool stuff has happened. Hmm...I wonder if WG still runs that annual photo contest. I should go see.

*LOL* Cute kitten. I feel (and look) like that a lot! :D

Sorry I've been scant comment wise: been sick. And tired.
